No matter what time of the day hunger pangs hit you, relief can be found at 17th Street Grill in the Enderle Center, at the corner of Yorba and 17th St. in Tustin.
Here you will find breakfast, lunch, dinner and small meals or snacks, as well as made-to-order pizza. The breakfast menu includes plates that you would expect – pancakes, eggs and bacon, omelets, oatmeal, but the French toast is made with brioche, and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Prices range between $7-15, with steak and eggs at the upper end.
Lunch offers nice shareables, such as pancetta-wrapped prawns, steamed edamame, coconut shrimp, roasted cauliflower, or a mouthwatering plate of grilled peaches with burrata cheese and prosciutto. Such choices range from $5-13. Soups and salads (the latter as sides or full servings) and sandwich choices are $6-16. Pizzas come in delicious varieties, in eight, 12 or 16-inch sizes for $10-19, or build-your-own from a couple of dozen topping choices. Sandwiches include a mile high burger filled with rotisserie pork, arugula and caramelized onions and a prime rib sandwich.
The dinner menu offers many of the lunch offerings at a slightly adjusted price, plus pasta entrees salmon, rotiserrie chicken, short ribs, fish and chips, and more. Entrée prices range from $13-23.
One day I will order dessert first so that I can try warm berry cobbler, tiramisu or macadamia cheesecake.
The 17th Street Grill welcomes groups such as book clubs or bridge players who meet regularly and enjoy eating while attending their get-togethers. Call (714) 730-0003 to make arrangements.
On Wednesday, March 28, the Grill will partner with Coronado Brewery for a craft beer dinner, combining the chef’s finest and the brewer’s best, offering five set courses paired with five craft brews. Reservations are required (call the number above). The price is $39 per person, plus tax and tip.
You will find this spacious restaurant’s cheerful staff ready to welcome and serve you every day starting at 7 a.m., Monday thru Thursday until 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.; and Sunday until 9 p.m. There is usually adequate parking, unless you happen to choose a day when Enderle Center is hosting a special event.
Remember to tell them you were recommended by the Foothills Sentry. Bon Appetit.
